PRFM (Platelet-Rich Fibrin Matrix) is an autologous treatment prepared from a patient's own blood. The treatment uses naturally occurring blood components, including platelets and fibrin, as part of an individualized approach to scalp and hair concerns.

At Jolie Visage Aesthetics, we collect a small blood sample and process it according to the treatment protocol to create a fibrin-rich preparation. The resulting PRFM is then administered to selected areas of the scalp.

PRFM may be considered for individuals experiencing certain types or patterns of hair thinning or hair loss. Treatment may help support the scalp environment and improve the appearance of hair density and thickness in appropriate candidates.

PRFM may be appropriate for some individuals experiencing thinning hair or certain types of hair loss.

Because hair loss can have many different causes, an individualized medical evaluation is necessary to determine whether PRFM is appropriate for you.

Your provider will consider factors such as the pattern and extent of hair loss, medical history, scalp condition, and other individual factors when developing a treatment plan.

PRFM may be less appropriate when significant or complete hair loss has occurred, and viable hair follicles are no longer present.

The resulting platelet- and fibrin-containing preparation is then administered to selected areas of the scalp as determined during your individualized treatment evaluation.

Treatment time and the number of recommended treatment sessions vary depending on the individual's needs and treatment plan.

PRFM is a minimally invasive procedure. Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising, or discomfort may occur following treatment. Your provider will discuss the potential benefits, risks, alternatives, and aftercare instructions before treatment.

PRFM is intended to support the scalp environment and may help improve the appearance of hair density and thickness in appropriate candidates.

Hair growth and regrowth are not guaranteed. Results vary from person to person and may depend on the underlying cause and extent of hair loss, the condition of the hair follicles, overall health, and individual response to treatment.

Some patients may need a series of treatments or additional options to achieve their goals.

Because every patient's hair-loss pattern and medical history are different, no single treatment plan is appropriate for everyone.
