Q. Is Ultra safe for all skin types?
A. Yes! Anyone can benefit from UltraMD's cutting-edge technology.
Q. What should I expect during treatment? Is it painful?
A. You will feel some heat and tingling as the laser passes over the skin. The number of passes and procedure time will depend on the depth of the treatment, lasting anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes. For mild treatments, the discomfort is very minimal. For more aggressive treatments, your provider may apply a numbing cream 30-45 minutes before treatment to maximize comfort.
Q. What should I expect after treatment?
A. Immediately following the treatment, you will notice some redness, which will lessen over the next day or so. Over the next 5-6 days, your skin will have a dry, sandpaper-like texture. This is normal and will resolve as your skin exfoliates revealing fresher clearer skin.
Q. Is there any downtime?
A. While there will be some visible redness right after treatment, you will be able to immediately resume your normal activities.
Q. How many treatments will I need?
A. Monthly treatments are recommended to maintain a youthful glow and prevent future skin damage. Your provider will work with you to find the best treatment regimen based on the results you are trying to achieve.

What can I expect during treatment?
You won’t need numbing or needles. Your technician will glide the XERF™ handpiece across your skin, offering comfortable warmth at controlled depths. The treatment usually takes less time than procedures that require numbing, making it more convenient for busy days. You might feel a warm sensation, but overall, sessions are smooth and easy.
How soon will I see results?
There will be an immediate lifting and sculpting effect after treatment. After a week, patients may notice noticeably smoother, firmer skin — thanks to gradual collagen remodeling. Because XERF™ works by stimulating deep-level structural changes, continued improvement often occurs over time as the skin regenerates and strengthens. Please note that a series of treatments is recommended to achieve lasting results.
Is XERF™ RF skin tightening safe?
Yes!
